White House turkeys get Pardoned!

Today President Obama will be conducting the annual pardon of the white house turkey ceremony. This year the President will be honoring pardons to Liberty and Peace. Both of whom originally reside from Willmar, Minn. After the ceremony the two lucky turkeys will be whisked to Mount Vernon, VA, where both of them will enjoy their life of relaxation at a wonderful “livestock facility.”

We caught up with Liberty before the ceremony and this is what he had to say. “I am really thrilled that I was one of the lucky ones, although I am disappointed that now I am unemployed and from what the president told me, the pardon actually had something to do with the president’s jobs bill getting shutdown! So I guess I should thank congress, but now what am I going to do for a living?”

Liberty also stated on other issues that he would like to give a recommendation to the protesters of the OWS to launch a campaign in support of the 99% of turkeys that are ate every year around this time, and although he is in the 1% that isn’t getting ate this year he hopes that this will not be held against him and his mission to help the 99%.

Later we tried to catch up to do an interview with Peace the other turkey that was pardoned. We searched high and low even in every country around the world but we were unable to find Peace.
